Social and Emotional readiness are critical to a child’s early school success and later well-being. Positive relationships are encouraged to provide a secure foundation from which children can master new learning challenges.
Specific large motor skills are developed by activities which encourage movement with music, rhythm and dance. Additional exercise and “fun-damentals” are experienced through outdoor play in the preschool playground.
Pre-writing, cutting, pasting, lacing, shoe tying and “clay-play” are developed during daily table activities. The phonics based pre-reading program involves following directions, letter recognition, sequencing and visual recognition skills.
Early math is introduced by counting, number recognition, matching, the concept of greater or lesser and sequencing.
Computer time, daily, reinforces lessons taught during class time.
