Preschool & VPK

  • Pre-2, Pre-3 and VPK
  • Classes incorporate hands-on learning tailored into a fun environment with emphasis on reading, writing and mathematics.
  • Social and Emotional readiness are critical to a child’s early school success and later well-being. Positive relationships are encouraged to provide a secure foundation from which children can master new learning challenges.
  • Specific large motor skills are developed by activities which encourage movement with music, rhythm and dance. Additional exercise and “fun-damentals” are experienced through outdoor play in the preschool playground.
  • Pre-writing, cutting, pasting, lacing, shoe tying and “clay-play” are developed during daily table activities. The phonics based pre-reading program involves following directions, letter recognition, sequencing and visual recognition skills.
  • Early math is introduced by counting, number recognition, matching, the concept of greater or lesser and sequencing.
  • Computer time, daily, reinforces lessons taught during class time.
